Hi all.
I have decided to give this a go as it seems to be an easy way for me to keep everyone who is interested updates on what we are doing, how we are doing it and in some cases, where we are doing it.
To start with, I thought I would update you on whats new at TRM.
we gave manufacturing in China a go. Boy oh boy what a mistake that was. Any cost savings we thought we might make was a fallacy. The quality was an absolute disaster. Steel cut incorrectly. Where we had let them weld, the welding was so bad that Dave had to re weld just about every single weld.
We purchased a couple of shredders from ZHANGJIAGAGN LIANXIANG MACHINERY CO.,LTD. Well, another total waste of money. The shredder, under low load test, did not last a week before it blew bearings, welds started coming apart and the machine struggled to shred tyres properly so our Chinese experiment with vital equipment simply failed miserably.
We are manufacturing in the USA and Europe and are getting insignificant goods such as cyclones and boxes from China where quality is not critical.
If you are thinking about buying a cheap Chinese machine- thats what you're going to get.
We have already had one customer in Slovenia who bought a plant for $350,000 from China ask us to fix his plant.
Guess what?? WE CAN'T.
